Terms of Service v1.0

01What Trudet is

Trudet is a news app that helps you understand a story from more than one angle and, where it can, what it may mean for people. Trudet gathers publicly reported stories, uses automated analysis to summarize how a story is being covered, and links to the original reporting. Trudet is not a news publisher and does not claim authorship of the underlying articles, which remain the property of their publishers.

02Who can use Trudet

Trudet is intended for people aged 18 and over. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you can enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

03Your account

Signing in is optional and is done through Google Sign-In. You can read most of Trudet without an account, but saving stories and personalization need one. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You can delete your Trudet account at any time from Profile in the app (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for use that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe harms the service or other people.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to: use Trudet for anything unlawful; interfere with or disrupt the app or its servers; scrape, copy at scale, reverse-engineer, or resell the app's content or analysis without permission; send false or abusive reports through the reporting feature; or present Trudet's AI-generated analysis as your own reporting or as an official statement by any news organization.

05AI-generated analysis

Summaries, "what this could mean" explanations, the 1–5 star likelihood ratings, and the topics attached to a story are generated by automated language models from third-party reporting. They are labelled as AI-generated in the app. They are estimates meant to help you think about a story, not statements of fact, and they can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong.

Trudet is not financial, legal, medical, or professional advice. Do not rely on it to make decisions about money, health, employment, or legal matters. Read the original reporting, and speak to a qualified professional where it matters.

If you see a wrong or harmful impact, use the flag button on the story to report it. We review reports and may correct or remove content, but we do not promise a response to each one.

06Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may send alerts about trending stories. You can turn them off at any time in Profile or in your phone's settings.

07Third-party content and links

Articles, images, and names shown in Trudet belong to their original publishers, who are credited on each story. Trudet is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of third-party websites you reach from the app. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave Trudet.

08Intellectual property

The Trudet app, its design, and its original analysis and summarization output are owned by Trudet. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial reading. Source articles remain the property of their respective publishers.

09Disclaimer of warranties

Trudet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its analysis will always be accurate or current.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trudet and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including decisions made on the basis of its analysis or summaries. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of Trudet will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

12Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app or these terms as Trudet develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
