Delete your Trudet account

01Option 1: delete it yourself in the app

This is the fastest way. It deletes your data straight away, and you don't need to contact us.

1. Open the Trudet app and sign in with the Google account you use with Trudet.
2. Tap the Profile tab.
3. Scroll down and tap Delete my account.
4. Confirm when the app asks you. Your account is deleted immediately and can't be recovered.

02Option 2: ask us to delete it

If you can't open the app (for example, you've already uninstalled it), send us a request and we'll delete the account for you.

Send an email to trudet.official@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign in with Google, or tell us that address in the message, so we can find your account. Use the button below to start a ready-made email, or copy the address.

We'll confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days of your request. We may ask you to confirm you own the account before we delete it.

03What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes everything tied to it:

• Your Trudet account and sign-in link (name, email address and profile picture received from Google)
• Your saved stories
• Your reading streak and reading activity
• Your personalization profile: the topics and “things that matter to you” you picked, and your region if you chose to share one
• Problem reports you sent about a story’s AI-generated text

This can't be undone. If you sign in again later, you start with a new, empty account.

04What we may keep

• Anonymous data that was never tied to your account, such as a notification token (if you turned notifications on) and anonymous crash or usage diagnostics. It doesn't identify you, and can't be linked back to your account. It is kept only as long as it is useful for running and improving the app.
• Records we're legally required to keep, if any apply. We don't currently hold any.

To stop notifications on a phone you no longer use, turn them off in Profile, or uninstall the app.

05Delete only some of your data

If you want to remove certain data but keep your account, you can:

• Remove saved stories: open a saved story and tap Save again to unsave it.
• Change your topics and interests: Profile, then For You Topics and What Matters To You.
• Turn off notifications: Profile, then the Notifications switch. This also removes the notification token for that phone.

For anything else, such as your reading activity, your region, or problem reports you sent, email us and say exactly which data you want removed. We'll delete it and confirm within 30 days. Your account stays open.
